Our Story

It seems strange to think that Ross and Amy only met in person for the first time in 2021...but it was long before then that they had started talking and becoming friends (even if it was 'internet friends' - but that still counts!)

2011 - That was the year that Amy added Ross on social media and where you could say the foundations started. At the time they were simply just friends that would chat from time to time about general things. How life is going, what you got up to at the weekend. That sort of thing. Completely innocent and in no way creepy or stalker-ish (that's what Amy says anyway...so let's just pretend everyone believes her).

At that time they both had their own lives, completely unrelated in anyway other than the fact it was nice to catch up every so often to see how the other one was doing. Over the coming years both Amy and Ross have had their hardships for one reason or another - or in Ross' case, multiple hardships that he wouldn't learn from, would keep getting himself into and then spending most of his waking moments saying "I hate my life, why didn't anybody tell me not to do it?!". They did tell you Ross. EVERYBODY told you. But let's just gloss over that.

It is these hardships that brought Ross & Amy together ironically. Amy knew everything about what Ross had gone through, and Ross knew everything that Amy had gone through, just from endless conversations supporting one another. Essentially...complete strangers who had never met confiding in each other.

It was the back-end of the COVID pandemic when they finally decided to meet. The first time laying eyes on each other face to face, and you wouldn't have thought it. Literal hours flew by as if they were long lost friends. Laughing - joking - chatting...and although Amy still to this day strongly sticks to her guns about "I don't even know how to flirt!", you should have seen her that evening. Some might say she could have been a seasoned expert.

Ever since that first evening together, the adventures haven't stopped and ultimately lead to the moment on a beach while travelling around the island of Crete 2024 where Ross asked Amy "Will you marry me?" - After a fair amount of sobbing and confusion on Amy's part as to what hand and what finger the ring actually went on, thankfully there was a "Yes" in there somewhere.

"Meeting you later in life was how it was supposed to happen. Both of us healing, working on ourselves, not sure what was in our futures. Then it was like the universe said "Here you go...Heal together, love each other and grow together."
